A HEADLESS HORSE, OF COURSE

Dan started Headless Point Studio back in the tail end of the last century. His goal was simple: create a place where artists could gather, share resources, and have a jolly good time. The energy generated at this locale drew characters of all types, each of whom contributed in some way to its growth and evolution. It became an informal forum for collaboration, cross-inspiration, and the fodder for many, many interesting tales.

Dan and Karen met during those first years and decided to directly collaborate on the future of the studio. It was an opportunity to make Headless Point more than just a place with a headless horse. The future was set for the studio to become a world-class art making facility

Today, the Headless Point Artists Retreat and Labor Camp also includes 40,000 square feet of space in it's new "East Bay Satellite Division." It remains a haven for those who want to make art by the ton, learn about working with metal, or just go for rides in the crane. We endeavor to continue expanding in an attempt to create a haven with all the resources that creative people need.

As for the story of the horse, ten years of intrigue and absurdity have yet to bring it down and the horse remains headless...
