TWO WORLDS COLLIDE

Karen studied at Rhode Island School of Design and Massachusetts College of Art and has produced several public art installations in and around the Boston area. Dan's degree in landsape architecture from Rutgers University is the basis for his fascination with large-scale work. In June, 2005 they built their first collaborative piece together. Passage is a visual commentary on the gift of creativity and community which is passed from one generation to the next.

Together their focus is on the spiritual aspects of humanity and the environment. The work they produce together harmoniously combines each of their unique skill sets, along with the energy, friction and inspiration two creative minds produce when working together.

Today, in addition to building monumental art, they are the founders of Big Art, LLC, which operates one of the largest art spaces in the region. The population includes sculptors, painters, printers, pinata makers and small green businesses developing technology in energy storages systems, biodiesel production, organic farming and compost. The space is six acres in size and has a dedicated 14,000 square foot event space. The cross-pollination and inspiration is nearly busting through the roof!
